Hi Lean,

You may need to:
  • Check the programs list if you had any unknown/suspicious app installed. If so, remove it manually.
  • Head to chrome://extensions/ and disable installed add-ons one by one - This helps find out the troublemaker. Report >> remove that item afterwards.
  • Now, try removing the bad extension manually.
  • Reset your chrome sync - remember to back up your personal data like bookmarks first.
  • Uninstall current chrome fully - do not miss out local chrome data/profile. Reinstall the latest one later.
  • Install > update > run the free version of Malwarebytes Antimalware & adwcleaner.
  • Perform a thorough adware & malware check.
  • Report the searchnow.com site to Google SafeBrowsing Team here.
Here's the complete to-do list that would help fix your ruined chrome.

More, please learn how to protect your computer from adware, riskware even malware. (Here's how & case studies.)

Best,

S :)

p.s.: IF you have trouble managing installed extensions (take the below img as an example)....

run Chrome policy remover (direct download). NOTE that, your chrome would block the download - plz hit Keep button. Run the bat file as admin (right-click...)
