Hi Sue,

Welcome to the Chrome Forum. You can follow these steps in order to change the browser's language.

Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
Select Settings.
Click Show advanced settings and go to the "Languages" section. Here are the various settings you can adjust:

Browser interface language

Windows
The browser interface language is used for browser menus and dialogs and it's based on the language you selected when you first downloaded Google Chrome.

In Windows, follow these steps to change this setting:

Click Language and input settings to open the "Languages" dialog.
Select the language you'd like to use from the list. If the language isn't listed, first add it as one of your preferred webpage languages by clicking Add.
On the right panel, click Display Google Chrome in this language.
Restart the browser to apply the changes.

Hi Amaris!

It depends on which operating system you're running in your computer. If you're running Windows, the steps that Francy wrote above will be helpful. However, if you're running OS X (for Mac users) or Linux you must change the OS language in order to change Chrome's language, because Chrome uses the same language as the system does.
